=====================================

Do you know where Halloween is from? It’s not from America or Japan: Halloween comes from Ireland!

Have you ever dressed up for Halloween? I have! The reason to dress up is that people believe real ghosts come to our world on Halloween night. We dress up ourselves as ghosts and monsters to trick the real ghosts.

I have never made a pumpkin Jack o’ Lantern for Halloween, but I have used a turnip! Before pumpkins, Irish people used turnips as Jack o’Lanterns. They look much scarier than pumpkins!

In Ireland, we have candies for trick or treating, but we also have a treat called barmbrack. This is a special sweet bread with a ring inside it. You get good luck when you get the slice with the ring. Does it look tasty?
