Comic Con is an event that San Diego holds every year in July. It has many things you can enjoy. You can meet famous celebrities there or go shopping for new comic books and other pop culture goods. So make sure to bring a lot of money!
One of the most popular events at Comic Con is the costume contest which is called The Masquerade. People dress in many kinds of costumes and can win prizes in many different categories such as Best Individual Costume, Best Group Costume, and Best Young Fan.
Cosplay in America is less serious than it is in Japan. People like to wear all kinds of silly outfits, and it is often for both kids and adults. In Japan, cosplay is a more serious hobby and people sometimes treat it as art. Cosplay culture in both America and Japan is interesting. You should try cosplay when you have a chance.
